I found CEFA's double CPL(H) course when I was looking for schools in the Greater Region. Proximity was important to me and I made my decision after an introductory 'pilot experience' flight with Marc in Luxembourg.
The discussions with Marc and Fabrice were always in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Marc, with his considerable professional experience, was able to pass on his knowledge during the practical lessons. I'm glad I took lots of notes to carefully implement his advice in flight and I have no doubt that it will serve me well throughout my future career.
The instructors are top notch. They have a wealth of knowledge, which they're able to pass on to us easily. It's not just a teacher-student relationship. It's like a little second family.
The infrastructure in Reims is undoubtedly better than in Luxembourg. It's a lot easier and less complicated to get into flying. There are fewer constraints. For the same amount of flying time, you learn/advance a lot more in Reims than in Luxembourg
As the first student to use the support and courses of "PadPilot" in Luxembourg, I have the following observations:
The PadPilot books are written in very understandable English, making it easy and enjoyable to work through the material.
For me, it is a personal challenge to see how far I can go to end up in a helicopter cockpit. For anyone else struggling with this decision, if you are sure of your goal and willing to put in the effort to achieve it, the best push is to book a trial course or a "pilot for a day" experience. I guarantee that after that, the decision will be much easier to make.
